Citizen's Ice Plant You used to be able to buy ice from a vending machine at Tolle Ice Industries. You could choose from blocked, cubed or crushed. Tolle had taken over the Citizen's Ice Plant at 2008 Marshall adjacent to the Illinois Central tracks. The site was razed in 1988 shortly before "The Ice House" tavern opened next door.
