I.O.O.F. Home
The International Order of Odd Fellows organized a chapter
in Mattoon in 1868. In 1899, they
completed this building on East Lafayette Avenue. It was enlarged to house 140 residents. The I.O.O.F. still owns the ground
today. This building was razed in
1978 and replaced with the nursing home, which stands at the same site. The Fellowship Center is at the location
of the IOOF hospital, which was razed in 1980.
