Kahn BuildingThe Kahn Brothers operated a men's and boy’s clothing store at 1713 Broadway. Selling surplus clothing from the Civil War. The Salvation Army moved their thrift store to this location in the early 1990’s after their former location burned. The side of the building collapsed in December of 1994, almost bringing down the Myers Brothers building next door. The Salvation Inventory was lost. A brick support wall was built along the west side of this building for support.
Demolition was eminent, after the west wall of the Kahn Building collapsed. The crane barely touched the west corner of the building and the entire structure came down.
