Miller and Sons
In 1908, Bean Grant sold buggies and wagons here. During the middle part of the 20th century, Miller and Sons automotive was located at 1401 Broadway. Miller and Sons was a Dodge Plymouth auto dealership. The Central National Bank purchased their property for a new building site and demolished it in 1971. A parking lot now sits at the location of this building. Miller and Sons relocated to 213 South 21st Street and later sold to Pilson's.
The first three building were razed for this project. Sears was located at 1405 Broadway before they moved to the mall. There was a dry cleaner at 1409. W.L. Whisennan had a barber shop at 1405 and 1409 was the Railroad YMCA.
